At this time, I want to reflect on the past year. The hardest, worst, and best year of my life. I will take you month by month.
January ~ Brylee is 3 months old. She said her first word,
da-da. I knew then she would be a daddys girl.

My mom passed away on January 19. She was diagnosed with cancer in late '08 or early '09. She was a very independent woman wanted help from noone. We all thought she was better since that is what she was telling us. She went into the hospital in December of '08 and never left. I had a 3 month old at the time and needed my mom, but she needed me more. Soon I will blog about her so Brylee and Luke will know just who she was and how much she loved them before she ever knew them. On the 24th, Brylee had her 4 month check up. She weighed 12 lbs 14 oz and was 24.5'' long. Still such a small baby. (Brylee was 5lbs when she was born)
February ~ This month we also lost Grant Harvey. Grant was born sleeping. His parents, Peyton and Ashley, worked so hard to get him after losing his brother Landon in 2009. Brylee has her first play date with Lola. You can read about their playdate
Come Brylee play with me.

Our friends, Mandy and Allen Holmes, welcome their first little girl into the world, Hallie Elizabeth. Mandy and I were best friends growing up. I know our girls will be the same way. Brylee got to play in her first snow. Can't say that she really "played". Basically took her out long enough to get a picture.

First time in the snow |
We began to
Pray for Baby Abby who was born too soon. Brylee and I get the stomach virus. It was no fun at all. I was suppose to work in South Arkansas at the March for Babies Kickoff but woke up with the bug that my precious angel gave me. Brylee is turned on to American Idol. She could be crying her precious little head off and we turn it on and she shut up. She loves music to this day.
March ~ Brylee goes to a babysitter. Until now she was blessed her have her Papa Tosh babysit her everyday that I worked. Yes, I said her Papa. Not her Meme. Meme worked while Papa Tosh was layed off. Rena, the babysitter, is awesome. She kept Brylee and two older boys (one being her own). Brylee loved it there. At Brylee's 6 month check up she was 15lbs 5oz and 26'' long. She had to get 3 shots and didn't cry! Just a little pucker.

April ~ This would turn out to be the worst month of my life. I found out that Brylee was going to be a BIG sister. I cried everyday for weeks!! I wasn't sure what I was to do with two babies in diapers. We decided not to tell anyone for a while. (Luke, Mommy loves you more than anything but just wish you would have wanted to wait and come in a couple of years).

Our first Easter |
This was our fist Easter as a family of 3. Papa Fenn came to church that Sunday.

May ~ We took Brylee to her first Arkansas Travelers game where we got a foul ball that hit me in the back. We went with my friend Amber and her husband and little girl Kinsley.

Brylee, you can now sit up from the crawling position. Oh how much you have grown in such a short time period.
June ~ Big Month. Brylee, you had so many milestones. You just turned 8 months old and have said mama, bye-bye, and got your first tooth. It's finally gotten hot so it's time for the pool. You went swimming in the BIG pool for the first time at Mrs. Diane Ray's house. You loved the water and playing with Aden.
You learned to clap this month. You loved to do it and do it all the time. Everytime you heard
Yeah Brylee you began to clap and laugh. We had a little party at Meme and Papa Tosh's and you swam and played with Aden. You even went down the slip n slide. I made you cry but it was fun!

You learned to clap and was so proud. |

This month was the month that you had your first surgery. We had tubes put in your ears after having constant ear infections since 3 months of age. No infections since!!!

Waving Bye Bye before they take you away |
Daddy, is practicing music a lot these days. While he practices you and Eden play. You can read all about Eden on her mommy's blog
Then There Were Three. Yes you look dorky in this picture but we worked for 20 minutes just to get you two beside each other. You kept crawling up the stage to your daddy's.
Well that gets us through the first half of the year. Did you notice that everything was about Brylee? Well, when she came into our lives everything revolved around her!! This also gets me through my first trimester of my pregnancy with Luke. I began to get sick at 8 weeks just as I did with Brylee. I will reflect on the later half of 2010 in the next posting. So much to discuss.
Dear Jesus, thank you for giving me 2010. It was a year of ups, downs, backwards, frontwards, and every other direction there is. This was the year that I learned the most about love. I don't know why you took my mom so soon from me. I'm happy she is no longer in pain. Please give her a hug and kiss from me and her two angel babies. I'm looking forward to tomorrows message about Change. I love you!
